To many in the global Sustainable Brands community, the vision of a circular economy is the single most promising source of hope for a flourishing future. And while significant challenges remain, many brands have made compelling progress toward closing material loops – so much so that leading experts all over the world now describe circularity as the leading design principle of our time. This session will host a discussion on tweaking existing business ecosystems to accommodate circular models. Panelists will compare notes on attempts to create such models to date, highlight existing gaps and discuss how the design community can further help scale up what sustainability strategists have already started.
