Representatives from SB’s Corporate Member Network companies demonstrate a commitment to leadership by accelerating learning and action within their brands to drive sustainability-focused innovation. They are working to understand the shift in stakeholder demand (including customers, suppliers and employees), and to develop, deliver and measure new forms of societal value. Together and with their stakeholders, they are demonstrating an inclusive perspective of success and raising the bar for leadership in environmental and social sustainability.
Sustainable Brands is delighted to welcome RILA as a new strategic partner to support collaboration between consumer brands, as well as their suppliers. RILA is the trade association of the world’s largest and most innovative retail companies, with more than 200 retailers, product manufacturers and service suppliers, and more than 100,000 stores, manufacturing facilities and distribution centers domestically and abroad among its membership. RILA will be hosting the Retail Innovation conference breakout session track, including activities in the Good Retail Pavilion in the Activation Hub.
Sustainable Brands is excited to welcome the Effie Award for Positive Environmental Change to its new home — starting with an invitation for your brand to participate at SB’17 Detroit. Effie Worldwide stands for effectiveness in marketing communications, spotlighting marketing success stories and encouraging thoughtful dialogue about the drivers of marketing effectiveness. Launched in collaboration with the World Economic Forum, the Positive Change Effies celebrate the brands and non-profits that are driving positive impact for our society and planet through effective marketing communications. The Sustainable Brands community consistently leads the world in purpose led brand innovation and marketing, and there is no more perfect place to recruit for and celebrate this prestigious award.
The Erb Institute is committed to creating a socially and environmentally sustainable society through the power of business. Building on nearly two decades of research, teaching, and direct engagement, the Institute has become one of the world’s leading sources of innovative knowledge on the culture, operations and governance of business in a changing world. The Erb Institute, via its community of students and alumni, is partnering with SB to provide diversity and sustainability support and more for SB’17 Detroit.
For more than a decade, HATCH has been producing unique, highly curated experiences that produce game changing ideas resulting in influential connections and disruptive collaborations among thought leaders from IDEO, NASA, Apple, Google, Intel, EY, Hasbro, and other Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, educators, creatives, and next generation leaders. The result is peer-to- peer mentorship where ideas and inspiration are exchanged and activated to HATCH a Better world. Experienced HATCHers will be conducting a Workshop at SB’17 Detroit to share their insights with the SB community.
In partnership with Positive Impact, the Convention Industry Council (CIC), Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and the Green Meeting Industry Council (GMIC), this track at SB’17 Detroit features a two-day course in sustainable event production. Participants will receive a Sustainable Practitioner Certificate after completing the course in Detroit.
