Sustainea is an innovative company with the ambition to lead the global Bio-MEG market, aiming to accelerate the transition to a sustainable, low-carbon circular economy. Born from a joint venture between Braskem, a Brazilian petrochemical company, and Sojitz Corporation, a Japanese trading firm, Sustainea is focused on driving innovation in renewable chemicals and transforming the packaging and textile industries through plant-based alternatives to fossil-based inputs. Sustainea’s business plan includes the construction of three industrial plants with annual production capacity of 700,000 tons of Bio-MEG.
