Karan has served as advisor and board member to multiple ventures, including as an advisor to X (formerly Google X) on AI, robotics and the future of work. Karan is also the co-founder and board member of Opportunity@Work, a social enterprise powering a skills-first labor market so more Americans can work, learn and earn to their full potential and of WAVE (West Africa Vocational Education). Earlier in his career, Karan worked at McKinsey & Company advising Fortune 500 companies and governments on growth, innovation and sustainability and as a software developer at Siemens. Karan holds degrees from Georgia Tech and Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar, and has been recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30.
