
Karan Chopra
Karan Chopra is an entrepreneur and operator at the intersection of AI, sustainability and business strategy. He is the co-founder of Earthena AI, a platform that turns climate complexity into financially actionable insights and unlock value through AI-powered intelligence. He previously built a leading climate risk platform and sustainable agriculture venture. Karan has served as advisor and board member to multiple ventures, including as an advisor to X (formerly Google X) on AI, robotics and the future of work. Karan is also the co-founder and board member of Opportunity@Work, a social enterprise powering a skills-first labor market so more Americans can work, learn and earn to their full potential and of WAVE (West Africa Vocational Education). Earlier in his career, Karan worked at McKinsey & Company advising Fortune 500 companies and governments on growth, innovation and sustainability and as a software developer at Siemens. Karan holds degrees from Georgia Tech and Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar, and has been recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30. His work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Financial Times, and Fortune, and he has spoken at Aspen Ideas Festival, Harvard Business School, and The Moth. His new book, The Climate Intelligent Organization, explores how AI-powered climate intelligence can help companies thrive by making climate action a driver of profitability, resilience, and growth. Born in India, raised in Ghana, and now based in San Francisco, Karan brings a global perspective to the future of AI, business, and sustainability.
