
Jen Baer
Jen Baer has been working with companies to develop and implement more sustainable business practices for over two decades. As Senior Strategic Relationship Manager at the Rainforest Alliance she has worked with some of the world’s largest companies on the responsible sourcing of agricultural commodities, primarily in the cocoa industry. Using a systems approach to pressing social and environmental issues in origin countries, Jen and her global team work in partnership with companies on their journey toward more sustainable supply chains and effective consumer engagement. True to its name, the Rainforest Alliance is committed to working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders toward a more sustainable world, using social and market forces to protect nature and improve the lives of farmers and forest communities. Earlier in her career, Jen worked for both national and local non-profits focused on renewables, corporate sustainability, and protection of natural resources. Jen holds a MS in Environmental Science from Antioch University and a BA in International Relations from Bucknell University. She lives in Vermont and takes advantage of any opportunity to get out into the mountains with friends and family.
