Ian Olson Sr. Director, North America Sustainability
Ian Olson is the Senior Director of North America Sustainability for McDonald’s Corporation. In this position, Ian is responsible for leading the advancement of sustainability strategies for McDonald’s North American supply chain, restaurants and customer/community engagement reaching more than 30 million customers daily in over 16,000 McDonald’s restaurants in Canada and the United States.
Prior to joining McDonald’s, Ian was the Director of Sustainability for Darden Restaurants, the largest full service restaurant company in the world and holder of such well-known brands as Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse, Seasons 52 and The Capital Grille. In addition, Ian has held the position of Global Manager and established Ford Motor Company’s Supply Chain Sustainability office, supporting a $90 billion supply chain which included more than 12,000 suppliers.
Ian holds a BA in Economic Policy and a Masters of Business Administration from Michigan State University.
