Dmitri leads open innovation at S&P Global and manages a portfolio of commercial projects in sustainability, energy disruption and environmental finance. Dmitri spearheaded the acquisition by S&P Dow Jones Indices of Trucost, the sustainability data and analytics provider, and oversaw the development of S&P Global Ratings’ breakthrough product Green Evaluation, widely praised as a game-changer in environmental finance. Dmitri is a member of City of London’s Green Finance Initiative and China’s Green Finance Committee Working Groups.
Dmitri has been with S&P Global since 2005, most recently as Head of Product Strategy and Head of Digital at S&P Global Ratings. He helped build in-house Lean Startup product innovation lab and led the development of an omni-channel digital platform to increase ratings transparency and generate demand for credit risk products.
Dmitri was a delegate to the 2016 B20 Summit in Hangzhou, 2016 UN COP22 Climate Summit in Marrakesh, and 2017 Milken Institute Global Conference in LA. He was a keynote speaker at 2017 GreenBiz in Phoenix. Dmitri’s recent article “Green Finance: the Next Driver of Real Growth” discusses practical approaches to closing the supply-demand gap in sustainability investing.
Prior to joining S&P, Dmitri co-founded and led a New York-based digital media agency, specializing in building and enhancing brand presence for global firms such as BBC Worldwide, Hewlett Foundation, Parsons Brickerhoff, ESPN and others.
Dmitri earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Financial Management and Marketing from Lubin School of Business, Pace University, a Master’s degree in International Journalism from Moscow State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Public Relations from University at Albany.
