Jo Confino is an executive editor of HuffPost based in New York

As a journalist for the past 34 years, he has worked on regional and national newspapers and websites.

Before joining HuffPost he was an executive editor at The Guardian and Wall Street correspondent for the Daily Telegraph.

Jo currently leads the Impact team at Huffpost with a focus on social, environmental and economic justice. He is currently leading a year long project on neglected diseases that affect the one billion poorest people as well as managing other initiatives such as food waste and ocean plastics.

During his 23 years at The Guardian, he created and managed the company’s sustainability strategy, set up and managed a unique multi-stakeholder development project in the Ugandan village of Katine (guardian.co.uk/Katine), and helped create three sections; environment, global development and sustainable business.

He has completed an MSc in Responsibility and Business Practice at the University of Bath, is also a qualified executive coach and an associate of Leaders’ Quest.
