Detroit probably does not come to the top of the list of the most sustainable cities in North America for most people. The first Sustainability Director for the City of Detroit, Joel Howrani Heeres, will highlight a number of recent accomplishments in the sustainability realm in the city. Joel will also address how Detroit is uniquely positioned to rapidly accelerate to the front of the pack of sustainable cities due to a number of assets and opportunities unique to Detroit.
