Contextualizing Sustainability Performance: Tools for Corporate strategy-making and Goal-setting

In this hands-on workshop, the Embedding Project team will share what they have learned from the first year of the Embedding Project Global Community of Practice on Contextualized Strategy-making. Brands were increasingly being asked to ‘contextualize’ their sustainability performance, and while they found that there were several different initiatives and tools like the Future-Fit Benchmark, Net Positive, Science-Based Targets, and the MultiCapital Scorecard designed to aid this process, they needed more information about how they all fit together and what the shift to context might look like in practice. For the past year, the Embedding Project has been working together with brands and experts to develop a guide that explains the road to context-based sustainability, in order to help companies integrate real socio-ecological thresholds into their strategy and goal-setting processes. The team has also developed a casebook that highlights how early pioneers are applying these ideas in practice.

Join this workshop to learn more about the landscape of contextualized strategy-making, what leading companies are doing, and how various tools and concepts might be helpful to your own company’s progress. Leave with an understanding of where your company sits on the journey and how to take the next step.
