Corporate political responsibility: Lessons learned in 2024 and decision-making support for 2025 and beyond

Starting in 2021, the SB community has been exploring what it means for companies to use their political influence responsibly in an increasingly polarized world. What have we learned? How are brands navigating risk as more issues are politicized? How is the policy environment affecting progress on sustainability goals? What are the most important sustainability and political influence decisions companies could face in 2025, and what is the role of the sustainability function is making those decisions responsibly and authentically? Please join us for an interactive "community café" to explore these questions and more. After harvesting insights with your peers, we will introduce the Erb Institute's new CPR Decision Tool & Executive Conversation Guide, walk through a case study and practice applying it to an upcoming political influence decision that affects sustainability.

Learning outcomes:

  • Practical lessons from years of theorizing and practicing corporate political responsibility
  • How sustainability champions can support principled decision-making in 2025 and beyond
  • How the Erb Institute's new CPR Decision Tool & Executive Conversation Guide can help executives further navigate this challenging terrain
