This session will analyze the main varieties of youth engagement around sustainability, inside companies as well as in activist circles and in broader society. Speakers will share lessons on what makes (or breaks) meaningful, productive and lasting engagement from a variety of viewpoints.

• How to take stock of the main dynamics currently at play around youth engagement and intergenerational collaboration for sustainability
• Distinguishing between helpful and unhelpful flavors of activism, culture-making, and ‘gatekeeping’ across generations
• Valuable tips on leveraging relative strengths, never justifying bad actions for a good cause, and crossing the chasm between early adopters and mainstream adopters of desirable actions
