Ricardo is the former Global Sustainability Marketing Director for The Coca-Cola Company with 20+ years of global experience in new business launches, innovation & portfolio strategy and sustainability marketing.
In his former role, Ricardo was working to inspire, enable and influence the integration of societal purpose into the top billion-dollar brands at The Coca-Cola Company. He has designed and formalized the process for using sustainability as a driver of brand growth and for creating shared value programs.
Previous to this role, Ricardo was the Marketing Manager in El Salvador in which he led the execution of consumer marketing strategies across a variety of brands. He has also led Sprite in Costa Rica and was the Divisional Brand Director for Still Beverages across Latin America. Ricardo was a key player in the creation of the new beverage business model leading the portfolio strategy and innovation pipeline.
Prior to joining The Coca-Cola Company, he worked as an account executive for Ogilvy & Mather and in brand roles at Unilever.
Ricardo holds a BA in International Business from Tulane University and an MBA from Thunderbird, The American School of International Management. He’s married to Audrey Hidalgo with 3 kids, Maria Jose, Luciana and Juan Ricardo.
