Peter Browning
Peter is the founder and CEO of Browning Environmental Communications, a communications agency dedicated to environmental sustainability.
With offices in Washington D.C., Boston, London, and Bonn, Browning partners with some of the world’s leading organizations to position, promote, and protect green initiatives, products, and services.
The agency's clients include the United Nations, NGOs including AII, CEBA and TNC, trade associations such as ACP and SEIA, and companies including Accenture, Autodesk, BNP Paribas, Schneider Electric, Siemens, and U.S. Steel.
Peter has been designing and co-ordinating campaigns on environmental sustainability for 25 years. He developed the first communications strategy for the UN IPCC, the first campaign on hydrogen in Europe, the first campaign globally on ocean acidification, launched the Environmental Profit & Loss account for PUMA, the world's most energy efficient ships for Maersk, and many other ground-breaking campaigns.
He worked for many years supporting Sir Richard Branson's Carbon War Room and was the first communications director for The B Team. He is also well regarded for having created Nature4Climate for The Nature Conservancy, which transformed interest in nature in the climate discussion and more broadly.
