Joanne Dwyer

Vice President, Corporate Communications & Corporate Social Responsibility
Petsmart

Joanne is responsible for helping to advance the company’s CSR roadmap, Transform Health 2030, including working with leaders across the enterprise to support goal-setting and reporting across four key pillars: Healthy People, Healthy Business, Healthy Community and Healthy Planet. Joanne also leads the CVS Health Foundation – a private charitable organization created by CVS Health that provides strategic investments to nonprofit partners throughout the U.S. These partners are helping to increase community-based access to health care for underserved populations, create innovative approaches to chronic disease management and provide tobacco cessation and youth prevention programming. In addition, she leads the company’s cause marketing and colleague engagement initiatives.

Joanne has been at CVS Health for over a dozen years. Prior to her role in CSR, she worked on the corporate communications team supporting retail strategic public relations programs. Joanne was one of the colleagues instrumental in the company’s announcement to stop the sale of tobacco products. She worked on the team that led stakeholder engagement and social media activation around the company’s bold decision in 2014.

Joanne came to CVS Health after spending ten years on the agency side, beginning her career at Edelman in New York. Joanne lives in Rhode Island with her husband and their boy-girl twins.
