Regenerative agriculture and Indigenous knowledge: Building sustainable futures

This session will explore the integration of traditional Indigenous farming practices with regenerative agriculture, focusing on land stewardship, food sovereignty, biodiversity, and a just economy. Panelists will also highlight the cultural and economic impact of returning buffalo to Tribal Nations, including the spiritual opportunities tied to ceremony and the growth of byproduct marketplaces through the USDA Climate Smart Commodities funded ASBI Growing GRASS Project. Speakers will also share successful models of regenerative agriculture within Indigenous communities, focusing on their holistic approaches to land stewardship and food sovereignty. Attendees will learn about successful Indigenous-led models and collaborative opportunities to align these practices with modern sustainable business efforts, fostering circular economies and advancing Sustainable Brands' mission of environmental and social responsibility.
