Claudine joined The Crown Estate in March 2012 as Urban Sustainability Manger and became Head of Sustainability and Stewardship in April 2015. She is responsible for the sustainability strategy for The Crown Estate’s business. Claudine joined from SEGRO where she was Head of Sustainability. Prior to this she was Director of Corporate Responsibility at British Land where she was responsible for Group corporate responsibility policy, implementation and communication.
Before this Claudine was the Environment Manager at Honda (UK), implementing the company’s environmental policy throughout car, motorcycle and power equipment divisions and dealerships. Claudine was responsible for communicating with NGO’s, Government and local communities as well as raising public awareness of Honda’s Environmental profile.
Claudine is Chair of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (ICRS) and Board Member of Business in the Community (BITC). She is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) and a frequent and well regarded conference speaker on corporate responsibility and sustainability. Claudine champions The Crown Estate’s Total Contribution approach, a methodology to measure the economic value of the impact the business has on its ‘capitals’ – resources, know-how and networks.
After obtaining a BSc Honours Degree on Environmental Control from Greenwich University Claudine completed a Masters Degree in Environmental Management and Legislation from Brunel University.
