Senior Sourcing Manager, North America — South Pole
Teresa has over a decade of experience in carbon markets, including carbon project development and the development and implementation of carbon offset methodologies. After launching South Pole’s US office in January 2019 and supporting business development efforts in North America, Teresa now leads carbon offset project origination in North America, including projects in forestry, agricultural land management, and sustainable technologies. Prior to South Pole, Teresa spent 7 years developing and managing implementation of methodologies at the Climate Action Reserve, where she was the lead author of their Nitrogen Management Protocol and managed and/or supported development of another 13 methodologies. Prior to this, Teresa also worked for Paso Pacifico, a non-profit implementing landscape-level conservation projects in Central America, and the Clinton Global Initiative, where she worked on corporate climate and energy projects. Teresa holds a Masters degree in International Environmental Policy from Columbia University, MBA from IE Business School in Madrid, and a bachelors degree from UC Berkeley.
