Kendall Starkman
Director of NextWave Plastics — Lonely Whale
Kendall Starkman is the Director of NextWave Plastics, a consortium of companies, convened by Lonely Whale and recognized by the UN SDG Action Campaign, that are committed to keeping plastic in the economy and out of our ocean by integrating ocean-bound plastic into their products. Kendall propels ongoing inter-member collaboration to drive forward innovation and near-term impact for our oceans. Previously, she helped support clients across a multitude of industries navigate the challenges and complexities of climate adaptation and resilience. Kendall co-founded the American Society of Adaptation Professionals’ Bay Area Hub and is a frequent presenter and speaker at industry conferences. She earned a master’s degree from the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University.
