Director of Marketing — NRS
In his position as Director of Marketing at NRS, Mark Deming has worked for more than ten years at the confluence of commerce and conservation. He helped transform NRS into a worldwide outdoor industry leader while marrying its brand to the fight for healthy, free-flowing rivers. Beginning in 2016, he was a co-founder of 5,000 Miles of Wild, which united outdoor industry brands with national nonprofits to help achieve new river protections in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act. In 2019, he co-founded the Just Add Water campaign, which has brought together a coalition of brands and nonprofits to break down barriers to the outdoors among underrepresented groups and create new conservation advocates. He lives in Moscow, Idaho and spends his free time exploring rivers, mountains and deserts with his family.
