Hannah Robinson
Hannah manages Verra’s Plastic Waste Reduction Program, which enables robust impact assessment and certification of new and scaled-up plastic waste collection and recycling projects. Hannah supervises the day-to-day operations of the Plastic Program, provides technical guidance to stakeholders, and oversees a diverse portfolio of projects seeking registration with the Plastic Program.
Hannah has more than four years of experience researching and managing sustainability standards and certification schemes, focusing on climate, textiles, and plastics. Previously, she worked on environmental justice issues at the US EPA and urban sustainability and climate change mitigation efforts at the Natural Resources Defense Council.
Hannah holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Governance from the University of Freiburg in Freiburg, Germany and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and Geography from the George Washington University in Washington, DC. Originally from the UK, Hannah is currently based in Washington, DC.
