Lead Manager, Social Innovation
Matt Holton is Lead Manager, Social Innovation at PayPal. In this role, he is responsible for measuring and communicating PayPal’s social impact, building out the company’s ESG reporting capabilities, and developing and implementing environmental sustainability management systems. In addition, he’s working to advance PayPal’s financial health initiatives, in particular those aimed at underserved small businesses.
Previously, Matt held roles in Social Innovation at eBay and HP, and prior to that he launched and managed a microenterprise development organization which provided training, capital and support to small businesses in urban and rural areas of Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
Matt has a MBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from University of Oregon and a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from Marquette University. In addition to his interest in the intersection of technology and social impact, Matt is passionate about viticulture and winemaking. He and his wife spend much of their free time working on their family-run vineyard in Sonoma, CA.
