Detroit 2030 District
Connie Lilley is the Director for the Detroit 2030 District. The Detroit 2030 District is a free program for building owners & managers in Detroit to learn how to reduce energy and water usage, GHG emissions from transportation, as well as other sustainability initiatives. Connie was one of the main forces in bringing a 2030 District to Detroit. She has built the program in a short 1.5 years to include 56 buildings and 19 million square feet committed to working toward the District’s goals. She also created the Advisory Council and several committees with dozens of volunteers for the District. Connie has implemented a special program assisting Multifamily and Houses of Worship building managers in Detroit. She has increased collaboration opportunities with like-minded organizations and businesses in Detroit to work together to create healthy buildings and a more sustainable Detroit.
