About Allie
Allie Barwise is a Program Manager at Gap Foundation, where she leads regional implementation for This Way Ahead and plays a key role in adapting the program for scale. This Way Ahead is a Gap Foundation initiative which provides the next generation with first jobs, mentoring, skills, and the confidence they need to make their dreams a reality. By 2020, Gap Foundation expects to surpass 10,000 program participants, putting them on a path towards their goal of hiring 5% of entry-level employees from This Way Ahead by 2025.
Prior to joining Gap Inc., Allie worked in media and nonprofit, with a focus on large scale social impact partnerships. At the Clinton Global Initiative she established a national program to advance education and workforce development in the U.S. She also worked at a Chicago-based nonprofit, building employer-led partnerships in K-12 education. Allie began her career creating programs for The Economist, and spent a year as an NBC Page (yes, just like Kenneth from 30 Rock).
