Founding Partner

Paul Twivy is a Founding Partner of Core Purpose, a consultancy that helps clients marry business and social objectives into a single Core Purpose, so that both the business and society profit.Their clients include Unilever, Tesco and Lloyds Banking Group as well as a number of smaller social businesses.

He is one of the best-known strategic thinkers and innovators within European Advertising, Branding, Marketing and Social Purpose, with a career spanning 36 years.

He has co-founded two seminal communications agencies: Still Price Court Twivy D’Souza Lintas (now DLKW Lowe) and Circus Communications. His other posts have included Deputy Chairman at JWT; Group Chief Executive of Bates and Chief Strategic Planning Officer for McCann-Erickson across the EMEA region.

Paul was also Marketing Advisor to the BBC, helping the organisation use marketing in its own unique and creative fashion to promote its public service broadcasting ethos.

Paul has worked on public issue campaigns for 30 years with the likes of Anita Roddick and Richard Branson. He has worked with 3 of the last 4 UK Prime Ministers on tackling some of society’s toughest problems.

He has co-founded a number of social enterprises and branded social movements including The Big Lunch, Pilotlight, TimeBank, Change the World for a Fiver and Your Square Mile. He was also an Adviser to Comic Relief for 25 years.

Paul is a Fellow of the Institute of Practitioners of Advertising; a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Fast Track Business Leader of The Marketing Society.

Paul has published two books: Change the World for a Fiver which has sold 1.5 million copies worldwide and Be Your Own Politician: Why It’s Time for a new kind of Politics about his vision for a Grand Coalition of Citizens, Government, Business and the Voluntary Sector to tackle the issues we all face.
