Sustainable products – can you really differentiate?

Many companies are striving to differentiate their more environmentally and socially responsible practices and products. But is it all worth it?

Learn from the world’s largest chemical company, and one of the world’s largest Quick Service Restaurant organizations on how each of them are working to differentiate more sustainable products, foods, and services. YUM Brands! is on a committed journey to responsibly and sustainably feeding the world through dedicated CSR, operational, supply chain, and customer programs and platforms. BASF – at the beginning of the value chain – has studied over 60,000 product & technical applications to determine which chemistry solutions bring a substantial sustainability contribution to the value chain, and BASF’s Applied Sustainability Team works throughout the Food & Nutrition value chains to find strategic operational, resource, and strategic improvement opportunities that can contribute to a company’s sustainability storyline.

Does sustainability really impact buying decisions – and if so, how? Join us to share successes, challenges, creative strategies, and proven tactical ideas on how we can collectively “drive more demand” for a sustainable future.

The SB’15 San Diego Amp’d Up Beachside BBQ & Concert
Sponsored by Jet Blue

Wednesday June 3rd, 7.30pm

‘Unplug’ your brain and plug in to dance-mode! With the BBQ fired up, the beach fireside pits roaring, and live bands on the stage, it will be a night to remember.

If leaning back in an Adirondack chair on the beach with your toes dancing in the water is what gets you amped up, we’ve got you covered as well – the beach is long and the firepits will be lit with s’more stations around, so there is plenty of opportunity for bayside lounging.

Birds of a Feather Dinners and Meet-ups

To facilitate meaningful connections, we’ll have sign-up boards for Birds of a Feather dinners, discussions, firepit meet-ups and whatever else you can think of. Grab a sign at registration desk or in the gift lounge and write your topic, meet-up location and time on there, and wait for like-minded attendees to sign up throughout the day. These informal dinners and firepit discussions have proven to be some of the most popular and valuable offerings at SB, year after year.

Walk n’ Talks

Connect with other SB community members each morning and afternoon for an energizing walk around the island to discuss all of the content you’re absorbing, or simply to spark new friendships. Walks will be a casual small group of attendees, designed to get your blood flowing, and yet another way to connect to those in shared experience. Check the mobile app once you’re on site to see which of our advisory board, speakers, or sponsors will be attending each walk.
