Manju heads sustainable finance efforts in Capital Markets fostering collaboration among divergent stakeholders. She leads advisory with corporate and institutional clients for incorporating ESG criteria in investments and financing while charting a path towards improved sustainability. She identifies impactful solutions around green/social bond underwriting, product development and other sustainable financing activities. She is also a green bond expert and project lead for BMO’s sustainable financing framework published September 2019. Member of BMO Sustainability Council & CSA (Canadian Standards Association) Technical Committee for Green and Transition Taxonomy, she is the co-host of BMO’s Sustainability Leaders podcast series.
She has extensive experience spanning 20 years across institutional asset management, investment banking, international philanthropic organizations and board leadership. She has spent over 14 years in the financial industry with an emphasis in client advisory, structured finance, mortgage-backed securities, debt capital market solutions and quantitative methods. A polymath, her unique combination of buy-side and sell-side experience along with demonstrated leadership in ESG matters and sustainable finance brings distinctive and valuable perspective to clients.
