About Jake
Jake Walko, Vice President, ESG Investing, joined Neuberger Berman in 2017. He leads the firm’s work on engagement and governance across the investment platform, oversees proxy policy, and provides thought leadership on active ownership. Jake was previously an Associate on the Investment Stewardship team at BlackRock where he led engagement with management teams and boards of directors in the technology and real estate spaces. Prior to that Jake supported institutional investors in a client service role and as a research analyst at Glass, Lewis, & Co. He received an MA in International Relations from The City College of New York and a BA in Economics from Hunter College. He holds the Claritas Investment Certificate from the CFA Institute, is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts, and has published academic work in the area of political psychology and leadership.
