Elin Olson, PMP is a Senior Sustainability Specialist with Schneider Electric. Ms. Olson is responsible for research, analysis and development of client specific sustainability strategies and supporting client deliverables. Her responsibilities include leading ESG strategy workshops, developing Science-Based Targets for greenhouse gas reduction, creating and managing greenhouse gas, water and waste inventories, researching regulatory and market developments, supporting client Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Design for Environment (DfE) and other product sustainability efforts, sustainable supply chain issues, and corporate sustainability reporting such as DJSI, GRI, CDP (climate change, water risk & forest), and SASB. Elin acted as project lead for Schneider’s Environmental Leader Award-winning collaboration with the Sustainable Apparel Coalition to manage and deploy technology-enabled supply chain platform for the apparel industry. She extensively supports operational and value chain sustainability programs for some of Schneider’s largest sustainability clients, with a focus in the retail apparel industry, food & beverage, and bio-sciences industries. Before joining Schneider Electric’s Sustainability team, Ms. Olson worked as Life Cycle Assessment Analyst for a large industrial manufacturer, where she completed peer-reviewed LCAs on a range of products. Ms. Olson holds a M.S. in Sustainable Systems from the University of Michigan and a B.S. in Biology from Grand Valley State University in addition to professional certification as a project management professional (PMP) from PMI.
