Matthew Rusk is Head of GRI North America based in New York City. GRI is the provider of the world’s most widely used standards for sustainability reporting – the GRI Standards – used by 73% of the world's largest companies, the majority of the Russell 1000, and over 10,000 organizations. Matthew is responsible for increasing the regional uptake of GRI Standards and improving the quality of sustainability reporting. He manages the North America GRI Community, reporting support offerings, GRI Academy partnerships, and leads regional stakeholder engagement. Matthew joined GRI with ten years of experience managing Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility strategy development, implementation, and reporting for organizations in various industries. He helped establish and promote new sustainable best practices and reporting procedures in the entertainment industry by working with Disney, Warner Media, The Producers Guild of America, and others. Matthew worked on the advancement of sustainability and CSR programs in the fashion and design industry while serving as North American Sustainability Manager for Swarovski. Matthew has a Bachelor's degree in business administration from Villanova University, an Executive MBA degree from Quantic School of Business and Technology, is a LEED Green Associate, and GRI Certified Sustainability Professional.
