A pioneer in sustainability, Cindy brings 30 years of experience serving in corporate sustainability, nonprofits and consulting sustainability/ESG roles. With that deep expertise, she brings a unique talent in creating groundbreaking ESG strategies and developing breakthrough ESG initiatives and stakeholder relations that advance corporate and brand value.
Notable roles prior to PwC for Cindy include serving as Head of Global Sustainability for S.C. Johnson where she spearheaded sustainability for the company and its household brands such as Windex®, Glade®, Ziploc®, and others. She also served as Head of Public Policy Innovation and Senior Sustainability Advisor for MassMutual and was Head of Environmental Affairs for a plastics manufacturer where she created and branded the country’s first 100% recycled content trash bag, RENEW, that became the #3 brand at retail.
Cindy previously served as Executive Vice President, Global Sustainability and Social Impact, for Weber Shandwick where she developed and implemented novel ESG and social impact strategies for a host of leading Fortune 500 companies and organizations.
She also served as Head of Public Engagement on the Presidential Oil Spill Commission, created by President Obama in the aftermath of the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill and as the in-house Senior Advisor to the President/CEO of World Wildlife Fund-US.
Cindy carries her passion for sustainability beyond work through her current position on the Sustainable Brands Ambassador Advisory Board (previously serving on the Sustainable Brands Advisory Board). She also served on the Sustainability Advisory Councils of numerous sustainability advisory councils of Consumer Goods Forum, World Economic Forum, and World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).
