Marissa Rosen

Founder and Principal
Climate Social LLC

I’m the Founder, Owner, and Principal Consultant of Climate Social, a micro-agency for impact leaders that I launched in 2015 to help organizations and individuals share their stories and drive meaningful change.

Our work centers on tailored strategies in public relations, social media, website development, copywriting, branding, and creative communications, designed to strengthen community engagement and inspire action. I specialize in designing networking programs, executing media campaigns, promoting high-profile events, and developing creative approaches that amplify impact.

Climate Social partners across sectors with organizations including South Pole, Net Impact, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, the US Plastics Pact, US Farmers and Ranchers in Action, Fermata Energy, WeSpire, Kontoor Brands, EarthShift Global, Forest Trends, WholeWorks, Biomimicry 3.8, the Kleinman Center for Energy Policy, LanzaTech, LanzaJet, Grounded World, and many others. Climate Social is also a recognized Ally of the Carbon Business Council.

Earlier in my career, I led marketing for the U.S. Department of Energy’s EEB Hub stakeholder engagement programs and consulted with startups through the Wharton Small Business Development Center. Before that, I held roles in higher education student affairs and worked as a flight attendant and recruiter.

I’ve been featured on podcasts including The Responsible Edge, Oktopost, Shorty Impact Awards, and the launch episode of Environment+Energy Leader, and have been quoted in Trellis Group. My writing has appeared in 3BL Media, TriplePundit, and The Huffington Post. I’ve spoken at GreenBiz and Net Impact, partner annually with Sustainable Brands, and delivered the keynote for the Penn MES 2025 Professional Development Day. I also serve on the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council.

I sit on the National Board of Trustees for the League of Minority Voters, a bipartisan nonprofit advancing civic empowerment and community mobilization, as well as the boards of Communitopia, a local nonprofit focused on equitable climate education, and the Global Water Alliance, an international nonprofit based in Philadelphia supporting sustainable WaSH projects worldwide.

I hold a B.A. in Communications from the University of Missouri and a Master’s in Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
