Jamie Bainbridge
Jamie engages the best minds in the textile industry to tackle every aspect of material and textile development. Before joining Bolt Threads in 2016, her past experiences included Research and Development and Innovation work at both Nike and Patagonia, and serving as Director of Product, Textiles and Sustainability for Nau Clothing, a brand focused on sustainable textiles and manufacturing practices. In her role at Bolt, Jamie oversees the creation of Mylo and is responsible for its high quality, softness and drape, and ability to take on any color or emboss. She works closely with Bolt’s partners including adidas, Kering, lululemon, and Stella McCartney to ensure Mylo can be used in their products just like animal or synthetic leather, but with a fraction of the environmental impact. Jamie served as the Chair of the Advisory Council for the Outdoor Industry Association Sustainability Working Group.
