Drew Getty
Drew Getty is Vice President, Environmental Sustainability and Government Relations for Perdue Farms, with responsibility for leading the strategies and programs that support the company’s environmental sustainability and government relations business goals. He is accountable for driving stakeholder engagement and fostering relationships with a broad audience, including industry partners, local, state and federals agencies and lawmakers, and non-governmental organizations. He also serves as the company’s spokesperson on environmental sustainability matters.
Drew joined Perdue Farms in September 2012 as Associate Counsel and subsequently served as Assistant General Counsel with responsibility for providing legal support and guidance to Perdue Farms, Perdue Foods, and Perdue AgriBusiness. Adjacent to his legal role, Drew was appointed as the company’s Coronavirus Response Leader in March 2020, tasked with coordinating all pandemic-related efforts with business leaders throughout the organization, leading the company’s internal Coronavirus Response Task Force, communicating with state, and local officials to advocate for the prioritization of resources for the food and agriculture industry, and ensuring that Perdue’s business leaders have the support and information that they need to protect our associates. He also served as Interim Vice President of Human Resources Services from September 2020 to April 2021, responsible for overseeing the benefits, compensation, HealthWorks, and Human Resources Management System (HRMS) functions, and as Interim Vice President of Environmental Sustainability from February to October 2021, before being appointed to his current role.
Prior to joining Perdue Farms, Drew was an attorney at Miles & Stockbridge, P.C., where he advised businesses, real estate developers, financial institutions, and individuals in a range of civil litigation matters including real estate, land use, corporate governance, and estate administration. Prior to his role at Miles & Stockbridge, he served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable J. Frederick Sharer, Court of Special Appeals of Maryland. Drew earned a B.A. in English from Dickinson College and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
