About Sylvie Verinder

Sylvie Verinder is an Environmental Scientist , with an academic background in marine chemistry, hazardous waste engineering and education.  Her 32 years work experience in the waste, resource and energy sector have covered a wide range of roles: scientist, legislator, operator, consultant and NGO Director. With 18 of those years in education and stakeholder engagement, she has extensive experience of teaching, lecturing and design and publication of multimedia resources including films, books, games and online resources.  She has won awards for her contribution to sustainable education and responsible business development. Her time recently as Director of Plastic Oceans gave her an insight into the NGO world and now running her own successful plastics solutions consultancy is driving measurable impact on the development of a circular economy for plastics.
