Keely Wachs is the director of company affairs for Clif Bar & Company, a leading maker of nutritious and organic foods for people on the go. Guided by the company\u2019s five bottom lines \u2013 Sustaining our Business, our Brands, our People, our Community and the Planet \u2013 he is responsible for leading the company\u2019s branding, global issues, reputation and public affairs efforts. <\/p>\n
Before joining Clif Bar & Company, Keely served as vice president of corporate communications for BrightSource Energy, where he ran the solar company\u2019s global communications, marketing and community relations efforts. Keely also lead Pacific Gas & Electric\u2019s Environmental Communications Department, where he oversaw the utility\u2019s renewable energy, climate change, clean air transportation, energy efficiency, and land stewardship communications efforts.<\/p>\n
Keely\u2019s previous experience includes co-founding and overseeing Blanc & Otus Public Relations\u2019 Cleantech practice. Keely also managed public diplomacy programs for the U.S. Department of State. <\/p>\n
Keely holds a Masters in International Affairs from the University of California, San Diego with a focus on environmental and economic policy, and a B.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. <\/p>\n
An avid surfer and soccer player, Keely spends his free time at the beach or on the field.
