Sonal Pandya Dalal brings over two decades of experience in sustainability metrics development and assessment, thought leadership, and relationship management. As the Technical Director, Sonal plays a key role in the systematic evaluation and analysis of SASB’s industry-specific sustainability accounting standards for each of 11 sectors and 79 industries in the Sustainable Industry Classification System.
Sonal comes to SASB having served in leadership positions at Facebook and Conservation International. As a technical specialist, she drove the development of goals and comprehensive sustainability strategies across a range of industries. At Conservation International, she oversaw the Business and Sustainability Council, a forum for corporate leaders taking positive environmental actions in their businesses. She also served as a subject matter expert and advisor for the GHG Protocol and Natural Capital Coalition.
Sonal holds a B.A. in Biology from Drew University and a M.S. in Conservation Biology and Sustainability Development from the University of Maryland, College Park. She serves on the Board of Trustees for the School for Field Studies.
