Leor Rotchild is the Executive Director of Canadian Business for Social Responsibility (CBSR), a non-profit professional association for forward thinking companies from across Canada, championing business as a force for good in the world.
Leor began his career in the NGO sector with international organizations in Canada, the UK and Uganda. Most notably he helped the upstart Centre for Affordable Water & Sanitation Technology (CAWST) become a global organization with strong UN partnerships.
Leor worked as a Corporate Responsibility Advisor to two of Canada’s largest energy companies, where he conducted environmental audits, developed company wide sustainability policies and co-founded the international youth committee of the World Petroleum Council, which served as a platform from which to champion sustainability globally.
Leor left the energy sector to become co-founder of a B Corp certified social enterprise called Do It Green (DIG), which recycled and composted more than 70 tonnes of waste from music festivals and sporting events.
Leor’s varied experiences made him an in-demand speaker and consultant. His most recent consulting role prior to taking the helm at CBSR was with the Energy Futures Lab, which is accelerating an energy transition in the province of Alberta.
Leor currently lives in Toronto, Canada with his partner – digital media artist and producer, Kate McKenzie.
