As one of the senior executives at Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT), Jane’s portfolio as Vice-President Strategic Alliances, spans multi-million dollar initiatives in the area of business development, corporate partnerships and SDGs and sustainability and innovation in finance for development.
Based in Turkey, Jane leads the development and oversight of DOT’s corporate partnerships programs around the world. Under her leadership, DOT has developed strong cross-sectoral corporate partnerships with IBM, Google, Mozilla, Cisco, the Governments of Rwanda, Kenya, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Argentina, Chile and others, to accelerate sustainable impact in local communities. She sits on the World Economic Forum’s Internet For All and EQUALS Bridging Gender Divide Committees where she works with governmental and global corporate leaders to accelerate digital inclusion and end the gender digital divide. Jane has worked in over 40 emerging economies in her career and is a former Canadian diplomat, fluent in English, French and Turkish.
DOT is an international non-profit organization with headquarters in Canada and offices in Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Latin America. With its model that transforms local young women and men into leaders change, DOT has reached over 1 million local community members with digital literacy and entrepreneurship skills. DOT has delivered over $60 million of programming in partnership with organizations such as IBM, Cisco, MasterCard Foundation, Google, Canadian Government, DFID, USAID and others.
