Sponsored by TD Bank, and in partnership with Arbor Day Foundation & Sustainable Brands, the Regreening Vancouver event provides a unique and exclusive SB’18 volunteer offering to plant trees at the historic Stanley Park. This is in collaboration with the city’s goal to plant 150,000 trees by 2020. These new trees are part of the city’s efforts to reforest city parks and restore the tree canopy throughout Vancouver.
Social Enterprise Walking Tour

Join Buy Social Canada for a walking tour to visit a variety of local Vancouver social enterprises who are making gains in changing how businesses and individuals’ purchasing power create positive social impacts within their communities.
The tour will begin at the Vancouver Convention Centre West and will guide attendees to Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside neighbourhood, where many of the social enterprises are located. Tour attendees will have the opportunity to visit the actual social enterprise locations, as well as hear presentations from the owners and employees of each social enterprise to learn first hand about the work they do, and the opportunities and benefits they provide to Vancouver’s inner city community.
Attendees will be treated to a lunch and a couple of small gifts provided by some of the social enterprises participating in the tour. Along the tour, Buy Social Canada staff and their community partners will educate attendees about the what, why, and how of social procurement, and demonstrate how social procurement can be a tool for companies to create a sustainable impact in their community.

These informal dinners and discussions have proven to be some of the most popular and valuable offerings at SB, year after year.

Clif Bar & Company knows the good life can be found outdoors – and in Canada that means the Great Trail. Come hike with us at Sustainable Brands – be sure to meet at Clif’s Trailhead Basecamp in the Activation Hub to grab the essentials before we get some fresh air and hit the trail! Note, Monday’s hike (June 4th) will meet up at the Vancouver Convention Centre – Thurlow Street Entrance. Look for the folks in CLIF gear!
Hike Details
- 4 miles roundtrip (approx. 1.5 hours)

- Ultra runner Ellie Greenwood will be leading the hike on June 5th and 6th. She is a two-time Western States winner (having set the 100 mile course record in 2012) and an online running coach with Sharman Ultra.

Sustainability starts with caring for the most essential home that you’ll never be without – the body. Both the body and the mind are fed with movement. This class teaches movement unidentified with a specific discipline, with moves that are sport agnostic. The goal of the class is to offer novel options on ways to move, insight into a more complete human movement map, and ingredients for a healthy, thriving sustainable lifestyle. No equipment is needed for this class. If possible, a towel, mat and water may be helpful.
