Responsible Meetings

Let's Redesign Good Meetings

Earn your Sustainable Event Professional Certificate at SB'18 Vancouver.

Schedule Announced

The full schedule has been announced for the Redesigning Responsible Meetings track at SB'18 Vancouver.

Take part in the tailored Sustainable Event Professional Certificate Course (SEPC). This is a unique opportunity to help your company prioritize sustainability in your meetings and events, an incredibly effective way to deliver brand and marketing messages.

This is a collaborative effort between the Events Industry Council and Sustainable Brands, and is supported by founding sponsor, Radisson Hotel Group. This two-day track includes an eight-hour workshop for those who want to lead the charge and understand the business opportunity of sustainability for the future of the meetings and events industry. The Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau is the premier development partner of the Sustainable Event Professional Certificate.

Vancouver is a prime example of sustainability-focused city planning, leading the way forward with the smallest carbon footprint of any North American city and a forward-thinking action plan to become the greenest city in the world by 2020. Scholarships for the Responsible Meetings Track are available to qualified meeting professionals.

“For people like me who were thinking about sustainable events before it was mainstream, it quickly became clear that the road forward requires all meeting stakeholders to be engaged in sustainability efforts; this includes planners, suppliers, exhibitors, sponsors, etc. This course is a critical step towards this alignment, which will enable real change for the future of meetings and events and how we impact the environment and local communities.”

Julie Lindsay
Senior Director Global Events, Gap Inc.
