Mats Linder

Ellen MacArthur Foundation

Project Manager

@matsllinder

A chemist by training, Mats leads the Innovation Programme within the New Plastics Economy initiatives. This role involves identifying and mobilising catalytic innovation that has the potential to find new materials and designs for plastics packaging, to enable a plastics system that works. Working with innovation in plastics packaging means that Mats is obsessed with learning about all aspects of the plastics value chain and would be delighted to have a chat about almost any related topic.

Mats joined the Ellen MacArthur Foundation in late 2014 and has since then worked on various projects besides the New Plastics Economy, for example A toolkit for policymakers and the Project MainStream report Intelligent Assets – unlocking the circular economy potential. Before joining the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Mats worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, following his PhD years where he split his time between research and amateur theatre.
