Annie Longsworth is a brand and communications leader committed to positive change through business. She launched The Siren Agency in January 2015 after three years as CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi S. Through a combination of ongoing insight collection, strategic discovery, and social storytelling, Siren is devoted to helping tomorrow’s brands solve their hardest problems and build relationships with their most important customers.

Prior to Saatchi & Saatchi S Annie spent nine years as President of Cohn & Wolfe, San Francisco, where she launched and led the global sustainability practice. Annie has 20 years of communications experience including editorial positions with business and technology publications and strategic marketing communications roles for dozens of companies, from start-ups to multinationals.

Annie’s past and current clients include Caesars Entertainment, The Coca-Cola Company, Fossil, Jackson Family Wines, Tom’s of Maine, and American Express. Annie was one of the original partners on WPP’s global Green Brands study, an annual survey that assessed attitudes and buying behaviors of more than 9,000 consumers. She led the research for 6 years and served as a key spokesperson to share the insights. She also led a global pro bono program for Project Kaisei, which is dedicated to cleaning up the Plastic Vortex in the North Pacific Gyre and preventing further ocean litter through innovation and education.

She is chairman of the advisory board of Sustainable Life Media‘s Sustainable Brands conference and has spoken on green consumer behavior and business responsibility at numerous conferences and events. She began her career as an editor, working for Inc. Magazine as an intern on the Inc. 500, the annual list of the fastest growing public companies. She then worked for a variety of publications at Ziff- Davis Publishing Company.

In January 2013 Annie was recognized by triplePundit as one of the most influential women in CSR; in June 2013 the San Francisco Business Times listed her as one of the Bay Area’s Most Influential Women in Business. Annie has a BA from the College of Wooster, Wooster, Ohio and earned an executive MBA certificate in Sustainability from the Presidio Graduate School in the spring of 2010. She lives in San Francisco with her husband, two children, a dog, two cats and 2,500 bees.
